Interior trim projects can be entertaining. This one combined ceramic flooring, with oak and brass trim. We stripped and refinished the stair railing with antique cherry dye, and topcoated with varnish. The wide floor trim was created from 8 inch pieces of oak, and the narrow trim to join the laminate flooring and the ceramic was created by routing a pattern on 1 1/2 inch wide strips of oak. We replace the original burgundy carpet with a light coloured berber to "open up" the space.
